Intention and Infinity
Today is the sixth affirmation. On this day we will look at our infinite nature and release ourselves from the limiting and repressive ideas of death. This is something everyone will struggle with. The good news is that eventually we can and will overcome our fear of death. Unfortunately, for many, they will have to die in order to overcome their fear. How nice would it be to beat death to the punch and not only be fearless of it, but when it comes, to be able to embrace it as so many prophets and sages that have gone before us already have. How many times have we heard that death is a transition, a new beginning, not an end? How many times at a funeral have we heard the term, being called home? Is it possible to embrace those ideas enough that you actually believe it with your whole heart, body, and mind? Today, we are going to set our mind to that task. This could be a big day for you…

Affirmation Six
Eternity is not the hereafter… this is it.
If you don’t get it here, you won’t get it anywhere.
-Joseph Cambell
I AM NOT FROM HERE! I am in this world, but I am not of this world.
I am more than a collection of bones and tissue. I have emerged from the universal field of Creation that is called Intention. It is pure love, fondness, beauty, and creativity, always expanding and endlessly abundant. As long as my wishes are aligned with the forward movement of this everlasting principle, there’s nothing in nature to restrict me from attaining the fulfillment of my wishes. It is only when I choose to allow ego to oppose the expanding, receptive forward movement that the realization of my wishes don’t feel fulfilling. Life itself is eternal and I sprang from this infinite. My ability to connect to the eternal and live in the here-and-now will determine my staying connected to intention.
If life is infinite, then this is not life!
I choose to reside on the active side of infinity. I am comfortable with the concept of infinity and I see myself as an infinite being. I am a spiritual being having a human experience. I am permanently connected to the abundance and receptivity of the Universal Source that intends all of Creation into temporary form. God is the mind through which I think and exist.
It is not whether or not my body is going to die, but rather, on what side of infinity do I choose to live?
I am past the fear of death as an end. I have merged with the infinite and I feel the comfort and relief that this realization brings. I DO NOT DIE!
I have a sense of destiny. My sense of destiny allows me to realize, I am eternal and that means that I showed up here from the infinitude of spiritual intention to fulfill a destiny I must act on. There is no failure in the infinite!
"You were born with potential.
You were born with goodness and trust.
You were born with ideals and dreams.
You were born with greatness.
You were born with wings.
You are not meant for crawling, so don’t.
You HAVE wings.
Learn to use them and fly."
-RUMI
I have a sense of the possible. Anything that is thought of can be!
“You see things that are and say,’Why?’but, I dream things that never were and say WHY NOT?” –George Bernard Shaw.
I have a sense of awe. I am in a constant state of gratitude and that creates magnetism. By giving authentic thanks for all the good I now have, will have, and for all the challenges, through this magnetism I will start the flow of more good into my life. The process of giving thanks opens the door for more good to come. My sense of awe at all of the miracles I see around me allows me to think, see, and live more of these miraculous occurrences.
I have a sense of humility. My purpose will only be found in service to others, and in being connected to something far greater than my body/mind/ego.
I have a sense of generosity. When I am on the active side of infinity, giving is my nature. The more I give of myself, no matter how little, the more I open the door for life to pour in.
“The best thing to give…
Your enemy is forgiveness;
To an opponent, tolerance;
To a friend, your heart;
To your child, a good example;
To your father, deference;
To your mother, conduct that will make her proud of you;
To yourself, respect;
To all men, charity.”
-Sivananda
I have a sense of knowing. As an infinite being in a temporary human form, I identify myself primarily on the basis of my spiritual nature. I no longer think in terms of limits. I am the source and the source is me. The Source is unlimited. It knows no boundaries; it is endlessly expansive; endlessly abundant and so am I. I think and act as if what I’d like to have is already present.
I have a sense of passion. The word enthusiasm translates to “a God within.” The beauty of feeling passionate and enthusiastic is the glorious feelings of joy and cheerfulness that comes along with it. I am eternal; this image will fade, but I am infinite. I am here temporarily for a reason. I will be passionate about all that I do!
I have a sense of belonging.
“All life is one. The world is one home.
All are members of one human family.
All creation is an organic whole.
No man is independent of this whole.
Man makes himself miserable by separating himself from others.
Separation is death.
Unity is eternal life.
-Sivananda
I am no longer identified by this body/mind, and I reject this label from this moment on. I am infinite. I am one with all of humanity. I am one with my Source and this is how I choose to view myself from this day forward.
I will exist for all eternity. Just as love is eternal, so is this my true nature. I’ll never be afraid again, because I am forever.
When I find myself thinking low-energy thoughts of fear, despair, worry, sadness, anxiety, guilt, and so on, just for a moment, I’ll stop and consider whether this makes any sense from the active side of infinity?
“I believe that our friends among the dead really mind us and look out for us… we might be able to link up in a very creative way with our friends in the invisible world. We do not need to grieve for the dead. Why should we grieve for them? They are now in a place where there is no more shadow, darkness, loneliness, isolation or pain. They are home. They are with God from where they came.”
-John O’Donohue
Do you believe in Infinity?
I believe there is more to this universe then meets the eye
